ANTONIO GRECO It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Antonio Greco, on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, at the age of 78 years. Antonio is survived by his beloved wife Assunta; his children, Vince (Rita), Gino (Abbie); his grandchildren, Louise, Anthony, Daniella and Justin. He also leaves behind three brothers, Pasquale and Raffaele in Italy, Pietro in Australia, and all of their extended family. Antonio was predeceased by his brother Luigi and sister-in-law Assunta. On March 8, 1927, Antonio was born in, Italy where years later he fell in love and married his wife, Assunta. With their two young sons, they immigrated to Canada, settling in Winnipeg, MB. Starting a new life in a new country, Antonio went to work in construction so he was able to provide a comfortable life for his family. Antonio always gave his all whether it was in his employment or his many hobbies, including hunting, gardening, bocce or card playing. Prayers for Antonio will be held Thursday evening, April 7 at 8:00 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, April 8 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Fr. Richard Arsenault. Pallbearers will be Anthony Greco, Adam Moccia, Kevin Mandarino, Giuseppe Trozzo, Dave Trozzo, and Joe Trozzo. Entombment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to the Manitoba Lung Association. We would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital, with a special thanks to the staff in the ICU, who made Antonio's last days comfortable.
